Gonadorelin (synthetic GnRH/LHRH) is a synthetic decapeptide identical in sequence to the endogenous hypothalamic gonadotropin-releasing hormone. Pulsatile GnRH receptor (GnRHR) activation drives pulsatile LH and FSH release from pituitary gonadotrophs; continuous receptor activation produces GnRHR downregulation and gonadotropin suppression.
